Prenatal yoga at YOGA ON YORK offers mothers a haven of peace and inspiration from which they can connect most fully with their pregnant bodies and growing babies within.  Classes are very appropriate and safe for all stages of pregnancy, and can be enjoyed  by yoga-beginners as well as seasoned yoga practitioners. The yoga postures are thoughtfully chosen to promote vibrant prenatal health and strength.  You will experience the therapeutic applications of yoga to relieve common pregnancy-related discomforts as well as poses for the labor and birth process.  Yoga On York’s prenatal yoga classes continue to be recommended by area doctors, midwives, and mothers alike.

A few ways pregnant women ‘feel great’ at YOGA ON YORK:

  • Receiving the gift of time for inward focus on you, your pregnancy, and your baby
  • Experience the easing of the discomforts, aches, and fatigue caused by pregnancy
  • Maintain muscular tone and strength through pregnancy for overall health and wellness
  • Learn the calming and focusing power of deep, full breathing
  • Feel at home - strong and connected -  in your changing body
  • Build community with other pregnant women

All stages of pregnancy are welcome.
Non-pregnant loved ones are also welcome to attend the classes with you.
Receive your physicians or midwifes verbal "ok" to exercise prior to coming to your first class.
Classes are "drop-in" style, no need to pre-register.  Just come to class 10-15 minutes early to meet the instructor and fill out the intake form.
