| | Kristi Scarpone, NIA Instructor, has taught dance, aerobic and movement classes to adults and children from Maine to Colorado since 1993. NIA, short for neuromuscular integrative action, is fusion fitness, blending elements from the dance arts, martial arts and healing arts. Artfully and gracefully woven together, NIA students experience the playfulness and freedom of dance, the precision of martial arts and the mindfulness of healing arts. Professionally, she is an organizational consultant who has raised more than $22 million in the non-profit sector to support missions including social justice, education, human services and international affairs. She is an avid runner and lives in Kittery, Maine with her husband and twin daughters. She holds a M.Ed. and NIA White Belt and has recently incorporated her movement training and new role as mother to share the joy of NIA with moms and children. | |
